Product description

The Arena Vortex Evolution swim paddles are an indispensable training aid for every swimmer. These Arena swim paddles are available in sizes M and L. They have a larger surface area than the palm itself, which creates greater resistance in the water and makes training more intense. Despite the larger surface area, the paddles are designed to reduce strain on the shoulders. Unlike other swim paddles, they are also made separately for each hand, and the illustration makes it easy to see how to put them on correctly. They are particularly suitable for strength training to build upper body strength. Small holes in parts of the swim paddles provide a better feel for the water.

Adjustment options for the Arena Vortex Evolution swim paddles

The swim paddles also include black silicone straps for securing the hand. You can adjust these straps precisely to your needs. The Arena Vortex Evolution swim paddles are made of polypropylene, are gray in color, and feature the Arena logo printed on the non-paddle side.

The width of the paddles is 18.5 cm and the length is 23 cm in size L

The width of the paddles is 17.5 cm and the length is 19.5 cm in size M.

Note: The review used yellow flippers, but this is the same model.

I’ve had the Arena Vortex paddles for several years now and have grown very fond of them. The paddles are available in sizes M and L, and I use size L (length 23 cm, width 18.5 cm), which fits me perfectly. This means the paddles extend 10–20% beyond my palm. However, I would recommend the smaller size to less experienced swimmers.

Each pair of paddles comes with 4 elastic straps in the package: one pair of longer ones and one pair of shorter ones. This is because these paddles offer several attachment options so that everyone can adjust them to their comfort.

What I like about Arena’s fins is their excellent hydrodynamic shape. They are one of the few pairs of paddles designed specifically for the right and left hands, so they fit the palm beautifully. They are slightly curved and gently contour the palm. Unlike cheaper, flat paddles, my palms don’t hurt even after prolonged swimming, and the grip feels more natural.

The resistance paddles have a high number of perforations, both in the center of the palm and near the fingers, which I consider an important feature in any paddles. Water flows through the holes into my palms while swimming, so I don’t lose sensation and can constantly monitor the correct stroke trajectory.

I also appreciate the rubberized edge on the Arena Vortex fins. During breaststroke and butterfly turns, the fins don’t slip when I touch the wall thanks to this edge. This allows me to push off without any issues during the turn, brace myself against them, and continue swimming smoothly.

Why is swimming the ideal spring detox for body and mind? Here are a few reasons

30.4.2026 Advices you

It's not surprising that winter could be long, dark and, unless you spend it somewhere in the mountains, unpleasant. Because of the shorter days and lack of sunshine, our bodies are subjected to unwanted stress and the spring season should be about rebooting the body and mind. Swimming is, therefore, an ideal way to support the natural detoxification process and improve the overall well-being of the body.
