Arena Vortex Evolution Swimming Packs are an indispensable training aid for every swimmer. These Arena swim paws come in sizes M and L. They have a larger footprint than the palm of the hand, thus having more resistance in the water and making training more intense. Despite the larger footprint, the paws are designed to reduce tension in the arm. They are also made, unlike other swimming paws, for each hand separately and with the help of the picture you can easily know how they belong properly. They are particularly suitable for strength training with upper limb strengthening. The tiny holes in the parts of the swimming paws provide a better feel for the water.
The swim paws also include black silicone strips for hand attachment. You can adjust these strips to suit your exact needs. The Arena Vortex Evolution swim paws are made of polypropylene material, are pink in colour and have the Arena logo printed on the non-swimming side.
The width of the paws is 18.5 cm and the length is 23 cm in size L
The width of the paws is 17.5 cm and the length is 19.5 cm in size M.
Note: the paws in yellow were used for the review, but they are the same model as the green, pink and grey paws in our range, only the colour is different :-)
I've had the Arena Vortex packs for a few years now and have grown to like them very much. The packs are available in sizes M and L and I use size L (length 23 cm, width 18,5 cm) which is just right for me. This means that the packs extend 10-20% over my palm. For less experienced swimmers, however, I would recommend a smaller paw size.
There are 4 rubber bands included with each pair of paws. One pair longer and one pair shorter. This is because these paws allow for multiple fit options so that everyone can customize them to what is comfortable for them.
What I like about Arena's paws is their great hydrodynamic shape. They're one of the few paws that are made separately for the right and left hand, so they adapt beautifully to the palm. They are slightly arched and follow the palm of the hand. Unlike cheaper and flat paw pads, my palms don't hurt even after a long swim and the grip of the paw pads is more natural.
The resistance paws have a high number of perforations both in the center of the palm and at the fingers, which I see as an important thing in any paw. The holes allow water to flow into the palms of my hands when swimming, which means I don't lose feel and I'm always paying attention to the correct trajectory of the shot.
Another thing I appreciate about the Arena Vortex paws is their rubberized edge. With breaststroke and butterfly reversals, my paws don't slip when touching the wall thanks to this edge. I can bounce off, lean into them and continue swimming smoothly.

Menstruation is a natural part of every woman's life, but it can pose some challenges, especially during the summer months and during water-related activities. Traditional menstrual products such as tampons and pads can be uncomfortable or impractical in these situations. In addition, tampons and other menstrual products that are inserted into the body may not be comfortable for all women, and for young girls, it may be difficult or even impossible to introduce them.
It's not surprising that winter could be long, dark and, unless you spend it somewhere in the mountains, unpleasant. Because of the shorter days and lack of sunshine, our bodies are subjected to unwanted stress and the spring season should be about rebooting the body and mind. Swimming is, therefore, an ideal way to support the natural detoxification process and improve the overall well-being of the body.
Swimming bands, or also expanders, are probably the most basic training aid for swimmers on dry land. They help not only to strengthen the stroke muscles, but also to improve technique. But do you know how to use them properly?
Do you want to improve, stay healthy, and avoid injuries and forced breaks? Proper recovery after swimming is key and should be a priority for everyone, whether a professional or a recreational athlete.
The Arena brand was established in 1973 as a division of Adidas France.
