Product description

This time we've moved from the pool to the open water and we're taking a look at a great wetsuit from the well-known brand Aqua Sphere.

At the outset, it's important to mention that the wetsuit should fit perfectly. If it's too big, it won't warm you up much, it won't cling well to your body, and you'll be "carting" water unnecessarily. If the wetsuit is too small, it will hinder your movement. If you're not sure about your choice, our colleagues in the shop will be happy to help you with your selection.

The very first step is to put the wetsuit on, which worked great for me. How to do it? Starting from the feet and zipping backwards! In particular, never use your fingernails. Gradually pull the wetsuit up to your hips, then pull up the belly part, which is the easiest to go. Followed by the sleeves and pulling them over the shoulders. You can ask someone to help you with the zipper, and with settling the back Velcro that protects and fixes the end of the zipper, but you can do it yourself.

You're probably wondering what kind of wetsuit I'm wearing. It's a great Aqua Sphere Pursuit 2.0 that I'm really happy with. I don't really like cold water, but this wetsuit kept me warm beautifully, felt comfortable and allowed me maximum range of motion. The neoprene has some great technology to keep you warm. At the neck, I loved the comfortable collar that boasts a double layer of material. I enjoyed maximum comfort and didn't have a chafed neck at all. The neoprene has strategically placed stretch zones of 2mm neoprene that allow you to enjoy freedom of movement. There is more material around the torso, specifically zones of 4mm neoprene. It serves to improve swimming position and reduce drag. When swimming, I really felt that it worked and increased my swimming efficiency.

The neoprene is really stretchy and it felt great to swim with. The wetsuit comes with a nice cloth bag to protect the wetsuit. If you want, you can easily put the wetsuit with the bag in your Mesh Bag with your other stuff.

You can see that I'm wearing the classic silicone cap that is used when swimming in the pool. But if it's cold and you want to swim longer, we recommend you swim with a neoprene cap. Your limbs will also take the brunt of it, which is why neoprene gloves and socks are a great choice. All of these will keep you warm and you can enjoy a pleasant open water swim, even in the heat. This wetsuit is ideal for triathletes.

I swam in the Vltava River and the water was about 13 degrees and warm. Except for your head, I really recommend buying a wetsuit cap so you can spend as much time in the water as you want. You can definitely manage swimming in cooler water than 13 degrees in a wetsuit.

I brought along a Swim Secure Dry Bag Window buoy. The buoy will keep you safe and you can grab onto it when you want to rest. You can also put smaller items in the buoy.

Come and choose your wetsuit, our colleagues will be happy to help you. If you plan to choose your wetsuit according to the size chart, I must say that the chart really fits perfectly. Will you join us and try the open water too?

Neoprene material. It provides effective protection against cold water.
